Built in 1650 by Erik Gyllenstierna, Nynäs Slott has been the abode of many royal lineages. Today, visitors are invited to take a tour of the castle with its well-retained furniture, paintings and other artifacts that give a glimpse of the lifestyle of noblemen. The castle is surrounded by a farm and a nature reserve, providing various outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, cycling, water-sports, winter sports, nature walks and sunbathing, to name a few. Add to it the lineup of exhibitions, cultural events, concerts and festivals, and you have a complete outing with family and friends.
