Delve into the 175 years of Crewe’s history at the Crewe Heritage Centre. The centre was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on the 24th of July 1987 and has something for everyone. The Crewe Heritage Centre is a the railway museum and is located where the ‘Old Works’ location was, which was demolished in the early 1980’s. The centre has various exhibits, such as the only surviving APT-P train and miniature railways, a varied collection of standard gauge steam, diesel and electric locomotives. The main exhibition hall features many artefacts and exhibits associated with Crewe. Brake Van rides are also available to the public during special events.
