The airport is connected with four Tokyo islands: Oshima, Niijima, Kozushima and Miyakejima. During WWII, it was a military airport. Today, two airplane bomb shelters are preserved as war remains and are open to the public. There is a cafe on the premises, where you can experience flight simulation with the guidance from a professional flight instructor. (1500 yen / 15 min.)
