Excellent place to walk or run or ride a mountain bike. Several winding, looping trails that can be combined into 5 or 6 miles total. Some beautiful unexpected water views 2 or 3 miles in. 5 minute drive from Sheriff's lane, on Edgartown-Vineyard Haven road just out of town on the right. Look for Sheriff's Meadow sign for Caroline Tuthill.
