When I first heard about this bakery it was in glowing terms. They opened a location near Strathcona VIllage. Next door to Les Amis du Fromage! Perfect pairing for amazing cheeses with yummy bread. I initially gasped at the price of the bread. Okay I’m a boomer who thinks bread is a staple, but what I’ve learned is that bread can be raised to an art form. Enter “The Flourist”. Locally sourced ingredients, etc… If you don’t want to spend $12CDN for a loaf of bread (unsliced… they don’t slice) I wouldn’t blame you, but you’ll be missing “an experience”…

A great bakery which sells not only pastries, but also dry goods and flour! We recommend walking (15 minutes) to reach great coffee shops amongst other delightful boutiques. Alternatively you can use the Skytrain (1 stop) to reach a large variety of restaurants.
This is a hip local bakery with amazing fresh baked bread and goodies. They serve great coffees and craft cider, beer and wine.
Savoury Quiche, Pizza Buns, All Day Breakfast Buns and more, made with local and fresh ingredients.
