This is a short walk along the beach around the point to the left and is one of the most amazing spots in Puerto Rico. Protected by a barrier reef, the water is calm enough to sit in with a beach chair and feels like your own private island retreat. Be sure to visit...you won't be disappointed.

This beach is very shallow and tranquil. You can take your beach chair and put it in the water and sit comfortably. If you continue walking north you will reach Luquillo Beach.

A fantastic local beach with plenty of area to hang out & spend the day.

Just east from Balneario Monserrate, on your way along the coast to Playa Azul, Punta Bandera has shallow waters and gentle bathtub waves perfect for little ones. At low tide, you can walk nearly a quarter mile out and still be wading with water up to your knees. Cool tide pools and little sea creatures too. It’s a less crowded, serene spot enjoyed by those in the know. Nice!
