Jeon is a Korean style of pancake that everyone enjoys—even if you’re not familiar with Korean food. You’ll find the pancakes filled with vegetables, meat, and fish; my favorite is made with pollock dipped in eggs and pan-fried. This is a place where strangers sit side-by-side, so don’t be shy.

Famous Korean traditional food street. you can enjoy "Jeon" (a kind of pancake), "Jokbal" there.
Gongdeok-dong Jokbal Alley is a place loved by local people. You can enjoy pork feet and tempura at an affordable price. Visit on foot from the hostel.
GongDeok Market JokBal Street/ Jeon(fritter) Street Mapo is famous for JokBal 족발(Korean style boiled pork feet). There are many JokBal outlets near GongDeok Station. You could eat in but I usually take-out and enjoy 족발 at home. At W30,000 you have JokBal, lettuce, vegetable, soup, sauce..etc, good for 3-4 persons meal, value for money excellent. Take subway to GongDeok station (1 stop from Aeogae), go out exit 4 or 5 and you will see many JokBal places. Next to JokBal street, you could find many JEON전 outlets (Korean style fritter or pancake made with various vege, seafood,...etc. very delicious!!

전골목은 골라먹는 재미가 있습니다. 맛보다 그 재미에 갑니다. 유명한 전집이나 족발집보다는 시장안에 있는 생선구이집과 공덕초 후문앞에 있는 국수집을 추천합니다. Very local scene, known for pancake (pajeon) and pig trotter. Locals do their marketing here too. Famous for flied vegitable and meat Traditional korean type market. not much clean but interesting. Parking is not available
