If you are a nature lover this is the largest remaining pure tuart Forrest in the world. You can do an easy 1.5 km walk through the Forrest at night time and see the rare ring tailed possum or the more common brush tailed possums . Leave from the layman picnic area .
Not a lot of visitors find this beautiful national park with its kangaroos just waiting to be photographed, a bird hide so you can see the amazing waterbirds in season, or the adjacent heritage properties. And it's free! Parking on Layman Road.
The narrow strip of tuart (Eucalyptus gomphocephala) forest that links Capel and Busselton is one of the special places of the South- West.
