In Cojimar east of downtown Havana, Ajiaco is an excellent place for great food. It’s like a garage, with rustic decor, all the dishes are made with Cuban ingredients, and the owners experiment with flavors like coffee and Cuban rum in their salsas. For those who love Hemingway, this is the village where he docked his boat. I recommend the barbequed ribs and the machuquillo, mashed plantains.
