Hemmick is a pretty Sandy beach which is quite difficult to get to due to the narrow lanes and the 10 minute walk from the National Trust Car Park. There are no facilities here and no lifeguard services, although swimming is considered generally safe here. Good for rock pooling at low tide
Hemmick Beach is close to Dodman Point. You can walk there or drive to Penare and park in the National Trust car park. From there it is short but steep walk down to the beach.
Another pleasant sandy beach that is often deserted probably because there are only 2 parking places at the beach itself, however there is a NT carpark at Penare only a 15 minute walk away. There’s no facilities here and it’s a small beach but it’s also a lovely spot, and a good place to start or finish a walk around Dodman Point. PL26 6LL
