Small town with nice clothing and furniture stores. Have dinner in front of the local hotel. It’s a beautiful spot. Can’t recommend enough.

“Dreaming is living” was the motto of Rafael Neville, a Spanish count defined as pop and hippy, who was looking for the beach of his dreams in the 1960s. Eventually he found it in the place where Porto Rafael now stands, which in fact bears his name. He traveled all over the Mediterranean but fell in love with a small beach near Palau and decided to build a new seaside village here. Porto Rafael is only a 5 minute drive (or 15 minute on foot) from Palau!

With it's charming square on the see, Porto Rafael is a quiet and romantic village, with of few shops, a couple of bars and a mini market.
