This is one of my favorite hikes to do. The beginning is relatively steep, as you climb past a roaring river and waterfall. It circles around a lake with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, then descends upon the same trail you climb on. ***There is not cell phone reception at Herring Cove, so make sure to plan accordingly.
