Less than 20 minutes’ drive from Packwood, Mount Rainier, is a must have National Park to visit, especially if you’re an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast.

Mount Rainier (also requires driving) – Entering the park, you will have panoramic views of Mt. Rainier's glacier clad flanks and summit that towers above us at 14,411 ft (if weather cooperates with you). On the way up the mountain, you will find old growth forest amidst towering trees that have stood for over 800 years, and see plunging waterfalls and rivers fed by glacial run-off and heavy with silt, shaping the landscape before your eyes. The highest elevation you can drive on is 5,400 and 6,400 ft. At these heights, you'll be surrounded by the mountain's sub-alpine splendor.
