Gulaga is a sacred place for our First Nations' people. Take the walk to the summit if you're feeling energetic. The walk starts in Tilba Tilba via the laneway adjacent to the Tilba nursery. A spiritual mountain which looks over Tilba Tilba, Central Tilba and surrounds.
Gulaga is referred to as ‘the mother mountain’. It’s a sacred site for the Yuin people and those that live in her presence. It’s a fairly vigorous 1.5 - 2 hr walk to the top. It’s up and up all the way but so worth the effort to reach the amazing rock formations, the tors, near the summit. Take plenty of water and a picnic lunch. You won’t be disappointed.
