Hong Kong has excellent hiking. There are 100s of kilometres of hiking trails on Lantau, of which Lantau Trail, is just one. I personally like the parts west of the Shek Pik Reservoir. That gives the island's two tallest peaks (Sunset peak and Lantau peak) a pass but has temples, monasteries and from my humble impression, fewer hikers.
A trail with different sections, you can choose your favorite one, amazing view
Tung Chung to Tai O With glowing reviews, the relaxing wander from Tung Chung to Tai O is quite a pushchair friendly option, with a relatively flat, paved route bar the final hill. During the course of your three hour wander, you’ll gaze upon coastal views, walk under the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, catch a glimpse of the new Macau bridge, and happen upon a number of local villages. If you’re feeling peckish, or have little mouths to feed, pick up some noodles in Sham Wat, one such little village, and sit by the pier as a we’re-over-half-way-there treat.
