This is a MUST SEE! It is Everett’s best kept secret. You launch from Everett marina and it is a quarter of a mile paddle to get to the island. Or You can paddle around in the channel and see seals ospreys and EAGLES!
The island is open to the public for those can access it via personal boat or kayak. This Port of Everett island features two miles of warm, sandy beach, windy surf and lots to explore. A free ferry takes people out to the island but is cancelled for 2020 due to Covid 19.
Great place for families in the summer! Take a picnic lunch and spend the day at the park after a short ferry ride from just off the Everett waterfront. The island is two miles long and a half mile wide with approximately 1800 acres to enjoy. Go to the website for VisitEverett.com and look for Jetty Island to learn how to reserve a spot on the ferry. It runs from July through Labor Day in September for $3 per person. or take your kayak or canoe and go on your own. Best kept secret around!
