Torquay Surf Life Saving Club and the Torquay surf beach has been the home of surfers for generations. The surf on the point is usually pretty good with plenty of experts to watch. At low tide walk out to the rocky headland and ramble over the rockpools. There is a large rockpool that is well worth jumping in with goggles if you want to see small fish and the swaying seaweeds.

Surf Schools teach here. From Dec-March this is one of our patrolled beaches. Patrols are on every weekend & public holidays. With Lifeguards present every week day through January. If you walk towards Jan Juc Beach you will find a walking track that takes you through to Torquay Back Beach. Nice walk & again great views.
A great surf beach for beginners. On high tide take the walking path right to Jan Juc beach. On low tide walk towards the cliff and check out the rock pools.
