This National Park allows visitors to walk, ride bicycles, or take a tram into the heart of the Everglades. There are no fences. You will encounter alligators and other native wildlife without barriers. It is truly an unique, real Florida experience. To get here, you will need to rent a car as there is no cell phone reception out there to call a ride sharing company. Shark Valley is about 45 minutes to 1 hour drive from the airbnb.

Explore the Everglades along an 18 mile trail. Take a tram with a tour guide, or bike along the trail. At the halfway point is a tower with spectacular views of the River of Grass.
A wonderful spot to see live aligators in park setting while either biking the 14 mile loop around the park, or by trolley ride. A car is necessary to reach the park, but it is well worth the ride.
Feeling adventurous? One of the best ways to see Florida’s Everglades is to arrive on the Tamiami Trail and use the Shark Valley entrance, about 40 minute southwest of Oakland Park. And Shark Valley along the southern part of Everglades National Park, has basically one trail – a smoothly paved 15-mile loop. At Shark Valley, you'll be amazed to see alligators and birds along the trail in winter. Bike, walk, or take the Tram through the magical Everglades.
