Steins Pillar is one of the best hikes in Prineville. A friend of mine even recently was proposed to there! It is a relatively easy hike with stunning views, interesting scenery and a great finale. A great trail for kids and dogs as well.
Closest Proximity. Moderate level of difficulty. Steins Pillar Trail is a 3.8 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Prineville that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until October. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail. Parking is available and is free. No restrooms or running water available.
