One of the last surviving country estates within London city limits, Osterley has shown up in a number of films, including The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Belle (2013). The portrait-filled Long Gallery was used for the touching scene in which Lord Mansfield begins to accept the young Belle, introducing her to an array of British ancestors. It’s easily accessible by tube.

Surrounded by gardens and parkland, Osterley is one of the last surviving country estates in London. Described by Horace Walpole as 'the palace of palaces', Osterley was created in the late 18th century by architect and designer Robert Adam to entertain and impress.
National Trust property with fantastic parklands and a lovely little cafe. They have lots of arrangements, exhibitions, guided walks and activities throughout the year.
Spend an afternoon exploring the stately home or following the woodland play trail around the woodland and gardens. You can even try your hand at canoeing on the large lake.
