One of the original and last remaining Italian family run coffee bars.
Some day this place will end up on a museum wall. Books will describe this place as one of the legendary institutions that it is. For now you can still met Joe and his partner who are still working there in their golden years. The service is still excellent even though nothing has been updated. It was probably once an Italian joint now it's full of older south americans and africans hanging around along the building mural and shooting the breeze. Lots of charming grey haired white dudes who can still remember when yale town was a bunch of warehouses. It's probably a good place to watch soccer and whatever team is playing, you're bound to find people from that country there.

The antidote to the $5 Starbucks latte. Not fancy, but totally authentic. The best cappuccino in town, if you're lucky, served by Joe himself, who started the shop with his brother in 1974. *Cash only
