Battle Abbey is a partially ruined Benedictine abbey in Battle, East Sussex, England. The abbey was built on the site of the Battle of Hastings and dedicated to St Martin of Tours. It is a Scheduled Monument Address: Butter Cross, High St, Battle TN33 0AE
Battle Abbey is a must visit location on our doorstep. Battle is also on the 31 mile long 1066 Country Way which is very popular with walkers. Battle itself has numerous lovely pubs and restaurants as well as cafes and tea rooms. We are also only 8 miles from the coast.
