Planet Ant Black Box

There’s improv on Mondays and Saturdays at this rowhouse converted to a black-box theater, and scripted shows, too. It’s small and intimate and on improv nights the audience can jump in and play after the regular performance. Keegan-Michael Key of Key and Peele, a Detroit native, is on the board and got his start there. They let you bring in your own booze and it can get crowded, so it’s a good idea to go early. They also have classes, including a free beginner’s workshop to get your feet wet with games and exercises.
