It’s a lovely setting for a picnic by a pond, or to just pick up cheese and picnic supplies. It’s the oldest continually operating creamery in the country—they just celebrated 150 years in business. They’re known for their French-style cheeses, including Bries and Camemberts. The Marin driving loop on the app and website I started, Cheese Trail, begins here, then heads to Nicasio Valley Cheese Company and Cowgirl Creamery’s Point Reyes outpost. It’s a great introduction to Marin County’s cheese culture and a scenic way to explore the North Bay.
