The menu is the creation of famed chef Panayotis Papanikolau and his equally famous student and owner of the restaurant Giorgos Kantelis who comes from the island of Kassos. The concept is simple, using the best local and healthy ingredients they have dishes from all over the Greek Islands and mainland. My favorite dishes are any of the mussel entrees, especially the ones from Mytilini cooked in ouzo, the dolmades, makaronades with cheese and crispy onions from the Peloponessos, and any of their dozens of mezedes, entrees, grilled meat and fish, salads or desserts. If you can only eat in one restaurant in Athens this should be the one!
