It’s time you explore a cave on your visit to the Peak District – and this is the perfect walk for you to do just that. Thor’s Cave is a favourite in the area as you can go inside it and explore. You won’t believe the views over the Manifold Valley from the wide cave entrance.
Magnificent Thor’s Cave, a natural cavern set in a steep limestone crag, with its huge arched entrance easily visible (and quite accessible) from the footpath below.

Hire a bike from across the road (make sure you ask for a bike lock) and cycle along the Manifold Track to the bottom of Thors' cave. Leave the bikes and walk up to the caves for stunning views across the valley. Carry on a short distance to Wetton Mill and enjoy tea and ice creams by the river.
