Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. Are you brave enough to come face to face with history! Combining professional theatre and walking tours. You will be led through this immersive tour by a mysterious guide, whose intricate knowledge of the darker side of history will shatter your beliefs and send a shiver down your spine as you discover all the grim realities of London's history. (Don't underestimate how horrible this gets!) On this adventure as you journey through the horrible realities of the past you will meet the very people from the times you explore, as professional actors perform characters so that you may face the horrible, disgusting reality of history face to face. During this fun and exciting food tour we would do the following: Visit historical landmarks; Explore Brixton hidden art world; Explore the multi-cultural food mecca that is Brixton Market; Discover new foods, fruits, and spices indigenous to Africans and Caribbeans; And most importantly, visit 4 local eateries to sample some delicious African and Carribean foods and desserts. Come and enjoy this hands on 2.5 hour workshop getting creative and jewellery making. Craft your very own hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for somebody or a treat for yourself. Hosted by The Ringsmiths, a team of jewellers who all currently run their successful individual brands as well as teaching jewellery. They will guide you through the process of making a ring using traditional goldsmithing techniques such as annealing, forging, soldering, and filing to name but a few. In this workshop you will have the option of making either a wide hammered band or two fine hammered stacking rings (as pictured). Over the course of the class you will have plenty of opportunity to practice your newfound skills. Using a range of tools needed to make your ring, as demonstrated by The Ringsmiths throughout. We also offer gold plating at an additional cost. The plating can be requested at the end of the class. Please note these services have a lead time of 2-3 weeks. Other things to note With a maximum of eight people in any one session, you can rest assured that there’ll be plenty of opportunity for one-on-one interaction with the jewellers.

Join me as we venture into the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter in London! On this walking tour of London's streets we will watch clips from the movies while I regale you with behind-the-scenes stories of those locations and how they were used in the film series. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and find out which Leaky Cauldron has the best tacos, as well as others I don't want to spoil here. I will also share some of the strangest, funniest non-HP facts I've learned about London along the way. We will finish at Borough Market, London's top street food destination, with King's Cross just a separate Tube ride away. PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English is essential. While witches and wizards of all ages are welcome, due to the amount of walking and the content, I more recommend it for ages 11+. Strictly one person per slot. No exceptions. While photographing in London you will acquire a practical knowledge of using a camera in a busy street environment and be able to: differentiate between various types of street photography and have a practical understanding of what might be your photographic style, comprehend the importance of essential image components and how to combine these to achieve a successful street composition, implement creative use of light to see how it affects the resulting image, utilise the negative space in a high contrast street scene for immediate visual impact, overcome the fear of photographing people discreetly in public places and learn how to shoot confidently and stay on the right side of the law in a busy city environment, adopt a positive attitude to street shooting and learn how to interact effectively with members of the public and the representatives of the authorities, use your (or our) camera’s manual controls and achieve great results relying on zone focussing, learn how the professional street togs set up their cameras and what settings they use in various scenarios, make a conscious choice and either shoot and post process in colour or convert the resulting images to black and white, hone your sense of anticipation as a practical tool to achieve subject separation and layering in your photos, analyse your own street photography work and learn to evaluate complex street images Other things to note The meeting point is easily accessible by London Underground or numerous buses.
