Forage Edible Plants & Mushrooms
Find out what you can eat in the woods! We'll hike in the lovely Santa Cruz mountains where I'll guide you on a beautiful, quiet 1-2 mile walk in the unique coastal oak & redwood forest. Together we'll learn the ancient ways of identifying edible and medicinal mushrooms, plants, roots, flowers, nuts and seeds (depending on the season. Mushrooms come out after the rains and fruit through winter, sometimes into spring). Along the way we'll discuss proper harvesting and preparation techniques while connecting to the beauty and abundance of our ecosystem.
This experience is a fun, hands-on way to connect to what can feed, heal and harm us in the wild. You'll walk away with a whole new appreciation and understanding of nature! The hike is doable for all skill levels. See you on the trail!
Other things to note:
Secure your own transportation to The Buttery and we'll caravan to the hike start. Bring: layers (it can get chilly in the redwoods), water bottle and comfortable hiking shoes. Optional: hiking poles, camera, hat, sunglasses.
Interested in a private group or offsite for your business team? Get in touch with me at info@MountainSeaAdventures.com
Intimately experience a biodiverse farm
We'll start by foraging through the farm to make a diverse "goat salad." We'll walk through the garden, stop to admire the beehives, and then feed and pet our mini horses, adorable Babydoll sheep, and silly goats. Once our animals have had their salads, The Farmhouse Kitchen at The Nest Box (MEHKO permit #PT0501239) will treat you to a light seasonal farm picnic. Following your fresh farm treats, we'll step in with the chickens and ducks. We'll feed them organic hen scratch and farm greens, if available. We'll watch them happily scratch around and quack and coo, and you can hold and pet them if you’d like too. While they’re scratching around, we’ll step into the coops to check for eggs, then we'll visit with our rambunctious pigs and Harper, our sweet Jersey cow. We'll finish our experience with a calm and relaxing visit with our bunnies and guinea pigs. We'll feed and pet these sweet and soft fur balls.
All along the experience, you will learn fun facts about our diverse plant and animal family, and you’ll leave with a seasonal farm gift.
Other things to note:
Wear comfortable closed-toed walking shoes and clothes you don't mind possibly getting a bit dirty. Boots and long pants are ideal.
*Great for teams and team-building too!
Mushroom Hunting on the Redwood Coast
We’ll meet at UC Santa Cruz’s Core West parking structure. I’ll introduce you to the local area and explain our goals for the day. I’ll have my favorite field guides available for you to peruse as well as real specimens of local mushrooms. I’ll explain the intricacies of mushroom identification and hunting safety before we get going. You’ll be able to use the restroom and fill up your water bottle as well. The hike is mild/moderate with some up hill, totaling about 2.5 miles. Guests should be comfortable hiking off pavement.
We will hunt on UCSC’s forested campus, hiking around for roughly 2.5 hours. I will point out the local flora and fauna we come across. I will help you identify the mushrooms we encounter and teach you about the role fungi play in the ecosystem. Hopefully, we will find safe edible or medicinal fungi for you to take home. I will also teach you how to recognize toxic and poisonous species of mushrooms in order to avoid them. You’ll have a lot of fun and walk away with new skills at a minimum. If we’re lucky, you’ll forage some ingredients to cook an impressive dinner later.
PLEASE NOTE: I cannot guarantee good weather or abundant mushrooms. However, I will do my best to provide the best opportunities. This experience is oriented toward education rather than trophy hunting. All mushroom hunting and consumption is done at your own

Goat Walk on The Beach
We are hosting a goat walk on the beach with two or more goats in our herd for individuals and groups. A few hours before our meeting time we prepare and transport our trained goats from our herd all the way down to the beach from our sanctuary to walk alongside you for a unique, once in a lifetime experience.
Our goats are very special goats nurtured from birth by Billie and her interns to develop a strong trusting relationship with people. Our goats love people and are very interested in getting to know the people they meet.
We will meet at the trail head that leads to a very magical and less frequented beach location. When we meet at the trail head location we will talk for about 10 minutes with tips on goat safety. We will also talk about goat companionship, interspecies communication, and the history of humans and goats plus lots more while we walk the trail to the beach guiding the goats along side us stopping to munch a bit. The path to the beach includes a beautiful forested landscape and a few flights of stairs so be prepared to walk some stairs. The walk down to the beach takes about 15 minutes. We will spend about 40 minutes on the beach with the goats.
This walk may be canceled if there are less than 4 guests booked. So invite friends!
Children are welcome to attend with adult supervision. The whole experience will last no longer than 90 minutes.
Tarot & Psychic Channeling on the Vortex
This experience is for solo querents or couples, as for the session, we go deep into each individual's psyche for the the full hour. I connect with your guides, members of your lineage as well as access your subconcious to address unresolved trauma, questions, woundings (both in the body and mind) and provide clarity and integration in moving forward. Using a combination of Qabbalistic Tarot which I have been trained in for over 10 years, as well as psychic channeling which runs in my lineage; I make a connection both physiologically as well as psychologically with detail and accuracy. This work is heightened by aligning it to take place on the sacred land. To the powerful vortex energy emitting from the earth in Sedona. Taken place in natural setting, to magnify the intensity and power of the channeling. I also clear your energetic body at the end of the session, and seal closed all psychic portals, that we open in the beginning. For any questions about more of this type of work, feel free to send me a message or refer to my site. It is very important guests are on time, or no later than 10 minutes late because the full hour is required for this experience!
Guided Meditation Sound Bath Ceremony & Psychic Channeling
***Hello Friends! Please read below before booking!***
Although the view outside was spectacular, the passerbys now that come to play disc golf have often been very loud & negligent of the shared space, interrupting the sensitive nature of sound journeys
So I only host outdoor experiences now for private parties/small groups upon specific request.
Guests will arrive at designated address, where I will greet them. Yoga mats and blankets will be provided. We will start by getting grounded with a light meditation, then a prayer circle of intention setting. I offer the option of administering rapay (pronounced hapeh) a blend of herbs and ground South American tobacco as a precursor and aid to the shamanic soundbath. I highly recommend partaking in it, as it PROFOUNDLY and immediately roots the spirit and body straight into the grid. We then begin facilitating a guided ceremony of psychosomatic therapy using sound bowls, chanting & shamanic drumming. For closing, I channel with/without my card deck, where I tap into the unconscious of each guest & communicate any messages that want to come through from the deep. These messages can be very cathartic.

Macaron making with a Master Chef - Carmel by the Sea
Macarons are incredibly popular, pricey and one of the most difficult pastries to master. In this completely hands-on class, you will create, bake and take home a dozen macarons.
When I started, it took months of trial and error with the recipe, preparation, baking and temperatures.
You begin with learning what a great macaron is and then exactly how to create them from scratch. All the tips and tricks and common pitfalls are discussed. The idea and aim is that you should be able to create beautiful macarons at home!
We create macarons from the 3 basic ingredients (eggs, almond flour, sugar) and discuss how your macaronage (macaron batter) should look when it is ready to be piped.
We move on to how to perfectly pipe your macarons and how they should feel when properly cured and ready for the oven. Do not worry if you have never used a piping bag - I will teach you how!
We then fill our macarons discussing flavors, others types of fill.
In all, about 1.5 to 2 hours of solid, professional instruction. All tools, ingredients and recipes will be supplied.
You will leave with a full dozen macarons!
PS - An optional Macaron Kit $25 is available for purchase - includes: Silicone baking mat, piping tip, macaron piping bag, and buttercream piping bag. Once you sign up, message me and I will have a kit ready the day of your class.
